Fake News

Fake News is one of the most popular topic nowadays. "Is this possible?", "Is it real?", "Do they tell us the whole truth?" are some of the questions we all ask while scrolling and reading news on the Internet.

However the Fake News is still everywhere and you cannot stay away from them. Since there is no solution and big brains are trying to eliminate them from the web space by many complicated methods, or group decided to try and help find a solution that trust more on people's opinion and already established and reliable news web pages and journalists.

At the beginning we thought about two different options- and mobile application and an extension for web browsers. My first idea looked more like an extension where the users can install it. It attaches to any news web site and make the not trustworthy new blurs or show how the people rated this article.

After we met and discussed all our ideas, we decide to combine them somehow. It is still an extension, but it does not change the site's content. After our meeting we showed the idea and sketches to a friend and asked them about hi pinion. He suggested us to make this "invisible" and told that wit will be better if we make this like a background app that can be turned on and off when you want from the buttons in the drop down menu of the phone. Replace the two pointers that could be irritating you sometime with a message that appears for a second on the top of the screen and hides later in the notification list. From there you can either open to see more information about the article, or to ignore it.

We visualize our idea and here are some of our mock-ups.

After presenting them to friends, they told us that they like the idea and that we can only add "Trust" options after every article, where the comments usually are.
